45163 Restoration Group

The 45163 Restoration Group is set up for those that do not wish to become shareholders but would still like to be able to help with the restoration of this locomotive and receive regular news of restoration progress through our newsletter 'Black Track' which is published twice a year.

There are many ways in which you can help. We hold regular organised work parties to work on the engine at the Colne Valley Railway (CVR), these are currently every fifth weekend. See list below for the dates. We work both Saturday and Sunday with a social gathering on the Saturday evening. We can also provide limited overnight accommodation and a hot meal is provided Saturday lunchtimes.

Other ways in which you can help are by supporting our promotions team who take a sales stand out to various events in order to raise awareness and much needed revenue for the project.

The cost of membership is just £10.00 per year for a single Adult or £15.00 per year for a Family.
